neurobox Coaching Supervision

By: Mark Woodward

I have been a Coach for many years (more than I want to work out!), specializing in coaching people with neurodiversities like dyslexia, ADHD, and autism, at work. My work is diverse and interesting, plus I’m passionate about it.

What is coaching supervision?

Like most coaches, I quickly came to value the importance of receiving Coaching Supervision.

It provides a chance for me to discuss any aspect of my practice with a supervisor, be it a moral dilemma around boundaries, a difficult session, or a successful one. This not only helps me improve my abilities as a coach for my clients but also ensures my own well-being.

In fact, it’s so important that all leading coaching ethical guidelines and codes of conduct insist coaches seek supervision on a regular basis.

That said, one of the challenges for coaches in my area of practice is finding a supervisor with experience and understanding of not only our type of coaching, but also of the unique challenges – and advantages – that come with working with neurodifferent clients – and even more so if you’re a neurodifferent coach too!

Our journey to qualify

With this in mind, my colleague Emma, and I embarked on the journey to become qualified supervisors. I must say, although challenging, I thoroughly enjoyed the learning and insights the course gave me – despite the assignment writing!

What does this mean for neurobox coaches?

This means we are now able to offer not only coaching supervision but coaching supervision with the addition of our own experience and understanding of coaching neurodifferent clients, to all of our coaches at neurobox. This means our coaches get a safe, confidential space to, for example:

  • Explore challenging situations

  • Explore situations that have gone well

  • Learn new approaches

  • Discuss boundaries

  • Check their own well-being

This means clients can trust that our coaches provide safe, ethical, and effective support tailored to their unique needs and challenges. If you would like more information or a chat about our coaching, supervision or any other service, please reach out to us.
