How is our Assistive Technology Training Delivered?
Our training sessions for visual impairment software and technology are One-to-One sessions delivered in 3-hours blocks.
We understand not everyone learns in the same way, which is why our visual impairment technology training can be delivered both remotely and on-site, depending on our clients’ preferences:

Remote (Online)
This training is completed via Microsoft Teams with one of our trainers. This method can offer increased levels of flexibility and convenience.

On-site (Face-To-Face)
This training is completed in-person, with one of our trainers traveling to an agreed location to deliver the session. This method can offer a more interactive session with less distractions.

How is the Training delivered to ensure it is fully accessible?
We understand everyone is unique, which is why our training sessions can be delivered either remotely or on-site. This ensures clients can select the style of training that is most suitable for their own needs.

Does the training include hands-on demonstrations of the assistive technology?
Yes, our trainer will guide the participant through the key features and functions of the product, as well as offering hands-on demonstrations that the clients can follow/test in real time. Please note: our training requires clients to have access to the software/technology being covered.

Is this a legal obligation for an employer to offer assistive technologies?
Yes, under the Equality Act 2010, employers can be required to offer assistive technologies if these have been marked as ‘reasonable adjustments’ for the employee in question.
