Our 2025 Mentor Program

Our 2025 Mentor Program aims to provide a supportive and enriching environment for Neurodivergent and/or disabled mentees to develop skills and knowledge, grow professionally and personally, and achieve business goals.

Our program is more than just mentorship—it’s a community where you can thrive. You’ll also join our peer-to-peer support community with current and past mentees.

Navigating business and career growth can be challenging, but you don’t have to do it alone. Our Mentor Program, led by Elizabeth Takyi, a passionate advocate for neurodiversity and disability inclusion, is here to support you.

Why should neurodivergent and disabled individuals apply?

Our Mentor Program will provide you with:

What skills and knowledge will you develop from our Mentor Program?

  1. Industry Knowledge and Insights: Elizabeth has years of experience in the neurodiversity and disability filed and can share her valuable insights.
  2. Practical Knowledge: You’ll get advice on real-world applications of your unique skills.
  3. Goal Setting and Planning: You’ll learn how to set clear, actionable goals, and Elizabeth can guide you in how to work toward them.
  4. Communication Skills: You’ll improve how you communicate in professional settings, including active listening, articulating your ideas, and receiving constructive feedback.
  5. Confidence Building: Elizabeth encourages you and gives you the confidence to take on challenges, both personally and professionally.
  6. Decision-Making Skills: Develop strategies for making informed, effective decisions in your entrepreneurial journey.
  7. Creative Thinking: You’ll learn how to approach challenges in innovative ways and consider new perspectives.
  8. Self-Awareness: Through reflective discussions, you can gain better awareness of your strengths and areas for improvement.
  9. Accountability: Elizabeth will help you stay accountable to your goals and commitments, ensuring you remain focused on your personal and professional growth.

When does the Mentor Program start?

Our Mentor Program starts in June 2025.

Before this date, Elizabeth will be in touch to arrange a short call to find out a bit more about you, your business (or idea) and tell you a little bit about what to expect.

How long does the Program last?

Our Mentor Program lasts for 6 months. During that time you’ll receive:

  • 12 group sessions with guest speakers
  • 6 one-to-one coaching sessions with Elizabeth.

What topics are covered?

Some of the topics we’ve previously covered in the group Mentor Program sessions include:

  • Overcoming Barriers as a neurodivergent entrepreneur
  • Wellbeing and being Neurodivergent
  • Marketing and Branding
  • Effective Planning and Time Management
  • Building a Business with Confidence
  • Developing Interpersonal Skills
  • Access to Work Support

Who should apply?

The programme is aimed at neurodivergent and/or disabled individuals beginning their journey to start their own business.
Applicants must be in based in the UK.

What is my role as a mentee?

Each mentee will take responsibility for the following:

  • Work with the mentor to set goals and objectives
  • Be open to feedback and guidance from the mentor
  • Attend scheduled meetings and complete agreed-upon tasks
  • Keep records of progress and achievement

Meet your Mentor

Elizabeth Takyi – Neurodiversity and Disability Engagement Lead.

Elizabeth comes with a wealth of knowledge about living and working with neurodifferences. Elizabeth was diagnosed later in life with dyslexia, dyspraxia, Irlen Syndrome and Autism. She also has arthritis and knows first hand the challenges, and the strengths being neurodivergent and disabled can bring to the workplace.

Having graduated with BA(Hons) and a PGCE, she ran a successful charitable organisation for 6 and a half years in London.

She is now using her knowledge and experience to start a Mentor Program for neurodivergent individuals starting their businesses.
