What is Workplace Strategy Coaching?

Our Workplace Strategy Coaching is bespoke to the employees needs.

Our coaches take a holistic approach to help the employee identify goals and then achieve them. We make every effort to match the client with the coach best suited to their situation and preferences.

We believe that workplace strategy coaching is a unique and specialised type of coaching. It looks specifically at the impact of an individual’s neurodivergence or disability and explores how these can be taken into account in terms of their job role and overall wellbeing.

The purpose of workplace strategy coaching is to enable the client to explore and implement strategies in response to their specific challenges, strengths and situation. These strategies are designed to complement any reasonable adjustments already in place. Specific topics that may be explored include communication and presentations, time management, organisation, project planning, self-advocacy, effective reading and writing techniques, stress management and developing confidence.

How is Workplace Strategy Coaching delivered?

  • Remote and face-to-face sessions.
  • Session length and frequency are agreed upon between the client and our coach but are usually 1-2 hours long every 1-2 weeks.

Frequently Asked Questions

How are remote sessions delivered?

Remote sessions are delivered on a one-to-one basis, normally via Microsoft Teams or Zoom. Your trainer will agree on your preferred platform beforehand and will send you a link once the appointment is confirmed.   

Training should take place in a quiet, distraction-free environment. You will normally be expected to have your camera switched on during the training unless one is not available. 

Your coach/trainer will ask you to share your screen as you will be learning the software by using it throughout the session as you would in a face-to-face setting.

You can expect the same level of support in a remote session as you would receive face-to-face in most cases, but if you have any concerns it is always worth speaking to your trainer or coach.

What is a Workplace Adjustment?

What is a workplace adjustments (sometimes called reasonable adjustments ) in the workplace?

A workplace adjustment is any change to the way someone does their job to remove barriers for them. The workplace adjustment works to allow someone to do their job in the way that best suits them. Examples of workplace adjustments can include:

  • Assistive Technology – text-to-speech, mind mapping

  • Equipment – noise-cancelling headphones, standing desks

  • Strategy Coaching

  • Support Worker

  • Awareness Training

  • Assistive Technology Training

  • Flexible Working

 

Why is training and coaching offered remotely?

Remote delivery allows for greater flexibility, convenience and shorter waiting time as we’re able to appoint you any of our UK based trainers/coaches. With remote training you can also choose to have sessions by the hour, offering you the ability to take things at a more comfortable pace. You do not need specialist skills to access remote sessions but if you do require assistance your trainer or coach will guide you through the process.

Do I need good IT skills or experience with software to do my training online?

If you already use a computer for general admin tasks and can use the internet, you will already have the skills you need to access a remote session. But, if you are unsure and would like some support with this our trainers and coaches are happy to guide you through the process.

Does neurobox offer Coping Strategy Training?

Yes! neurobox supply coping strategy training, however we refer to the service as Workplace strategy coaching.

What is the difference between Workplace Strategy Coaching and Workplace Coping Strategy Training?

Workplace strategy coaching and workplace coping strategy training are essentially the same service, aimed at helping employees manage work-related challenges and improve productivity. Both focus on equipping individuals with skills to handle stress, communicate effectively, and navigate workplace dynamics. The goal is to empower employees to thrive in their roles.
