What is the Disability Confident Scheme?

The Disability Confident Employer Scheme (a Government scheme) provides organisations with the structure and process to implement inclusive recruitment practices, workplace adjustments, and manager training and create an inclusive culture for all.

The scheme has 3 levels designed to support employers on their Disability Confident journey, these are:

  • Disability Confident Committed (Level 1).

  • Disability Confident Employer (Level 2).

  • Disability Confident Leader (Level 3).

All employers join the scheme at Disability Confident Committed (Level 1) and progress through the levels to achieve the one that’s right for their organisation. On completion of levels, you receive Disability Confident Certification.

As a Disability Confident Leader, we’re uniquely placed to guide organisations through the accreditation process from Levels 1 to 3. We can conduct a gap analysis, provide targeted recommendations, and support the implementation process.

How can we work together?

Level 3 Validation

As a Disability Confident Leader we can validate the self-assessment and confirm that you are delivering against all the core actions as a Disability Confident Employer.

Full support

We can guide organisations through the accreditation process from Levels 1 to 3. We can conduct a gap analysis, provide targeted recommendations, and support the implementation process.

Our Disability Confident Consultation Service

Planning your organisation’s Disability Confident journey, navigating it, and staying on course can be challenging for any organisation – and those tasked with doing it. It can help to have a guide, someone who knows the route well and can support you through the more challenging parts of the journey.

We’re able to support you at each level. Our support doesn’t just end there – it’s also important to continue reflecting on your journey by constantly reviewing your internal processes and policies.

The Levels:

  • Disability Confident Level 1 Committed – demonstrates your commitment to becoming an inclusive workplace.

  • Disability Confident Level 2 Employer –  if you’re ready to take the next step you’ll need to assess your organisation against two themes. Getting the right people for your business and keeping & developing your people. This is where we can support you!

  • Disability Confident Level 3 Leader  –   your organisation is ready to be validated – you’re confident that you demonstrate a commitment to inclusion by having the practices and policies to support your disabled and neurodivergent staff.

Over 18,500 organisations have signed up to the scheme to get Disability Confident – what are you waiting for?
